Not at all. SatGrade is designed for zero workflow disruption. When your staff uploads the card data, our system instantly generates the cryptographic hash. The final Bitcoin anchoring is automatically batched every night. Your lab doesn't wait for blockchain confirmations.
Bitcoin transaction fees are highly volatile. Will our costs fluctuate?
No. We absorb all blockchain volatility. Partners pay a predictable, flat fiat fee per certificate. By using daily Merkle-tree batching, we handle all the complex on-chain economics, keeping your margins completely stable.
Does SatGrade force us to change our grading scale or label design?
Absolutely not. You keep your brand, your grading scale, and your customer base. SatGrade is a cryptographic layer. We verify whatever data your experts output. Your name leads. We provide the math.
Can I send my raw cards directly to SatGrade to be graded?
No. SatGrade is a verification technology company, not a grading laboratory. We do not authenticate or grade physical objects. To get a SatGrade-secured certificate, you must submit your cards through one of our official partner laboratories.
What does "anchored to Bitcoin" actually mean for my card?
It means the exact state of your card, including its high-definition photo, serial number, and grades, was cryptographically hashed and locked into the Bitcoin blockchain on the day it was sealed. If anyone ever tries to secretly alter the photo or change the grade in the database, the Bitcoin proof will flag it as tampered. It guarantees the digital integrity of your collection.
Does a Bitcoin-anchored certificate mean my slab is impossible to counterfeit?
No single proof can, which is why a SatGrade slab carries two. An encrypted NFC chip is bonded inside the slab before it is sealed. Every tap produces a one-time cryptographic signature that proves the object in your hand is genuine, and replayed links are flagged automatically. The Bitcoin anchor is the second proof: it makes the certificate record mathematically impossible to alter after the fact. The chip proves the object. Bitcoin proves the record. If a slab does not verify on tap, do not buy it.
